On August 16, T/CCMA 0115-2021 "Guidelines for Tower Crane Instruction Manual" and T/CCMA 0116-2021 "Guidelines for Construction Hoist Instruction Manual" were approved and issued by China Construction Machinery Association, and it will come into effect on January 1, 2022.

"Guidelines for Tower Crane Instruction Manual" and T/CCMA 0116-2021
"Guidelines for Construction Hoist Instruction Manual" are based on
the 2020 group standard work plan of the China Construction Machinery
Association. Construction Mechanization Branch Organization of China
Construction Machinery Association, Construction Mechanization Research Branch
of China Academy of Building Research Co., Ltd tied up with more than 40
domestic manufacturing companies, leasing companies, and construction general
contracting companies that compiled this group standard.

"Guidelines for Tower Crane Instruction Manual" establishes the
structure, basic regulations and compilation methods of tower crane product
manuals, and specifies the operation manuals, maintenance manuals and spare
parts manuals of tower crane instruction manuals and stipulates the document
name, level, element writing and presentation rules and layout format.
T/CCMA 0116-2021
"Guidelines for Construction Hoist Instruction Manual" establishes
the structure, basic regulations and compilation methods of the manuals for
construction hoist defined in GB/T 26557, specifies the main chapters that make
up the manuals for construction hoist, and specifies the name, level, element
writing and expression rules and layout format of each chapter. Other types of
construction hoists can be implemented by reference.
"Guidelines for Tower Crane Instruction Manual" is a carrier for manufacturers to introduce their products to users, an important part of the products provided by manufacturers, a basis and guide for tower crane installation, disassembly, commissioning, operation, inspection, and maintenance, a basis for tower crane safety management, construction plan formulation, and lifting plan formulation, and also a technical document that provides important support for tower crane troubleshooting, accident handling, and training of lifting operators. The complete and accurate "Guidelines for Tower Crane Instruction Manual" is the responsibility and obligation of the tower crane manufacturer.
In recent years, the design
level, manufacturing level and quality level of China's construction lifting
machinery have made great progress and improvements. However, the instruction
manual lacks specifications. Some instruction manuals are too simple, the
content is not comprehensive enough, and the technical performance and related
data are not accurately expressed. As a result, users cannot well grasp the
installation and disassembly, safe use, and maintenance of the tower crane
during use. And it bring inconvenience to use and hidden dangers of safety
management.
In order to clarify the
basic requirements and compilation methods of "Guidelines for Tower Crane Instruction
Manual" and "Guidelines for Construction Hoist Instruction Manual",
and to improve the quality of the preparation of the operation manual, make it
comprehensive, reasonable in structure and easy to use, this document is
specially formulated. Providing a systematic, easy-to-use, and accurate product
"Instruction Manual" is not only the responsibility and obligation of
the manufacturer, but also an important carrier that reflects the technical
level of the product.
